Due to the rescheduling of the PSA Rugby Academy Tignes programme caused by the COVID-19 crisis, and the resulting impact on booking numbers, as of now (05/06/20), there is now no longer an accompanied flight available from Dublin to Lyon Airport for 11-25th July travel.  This will be reviewed based on any significant increased bookings from Ireland as a result of the updating Irish Government advice regarding travel within the EU region.  Please contact our team on info@psaacademies.com or via Web Chat on this page if you have any queries regarding this area. 

We welcome players from all over the world to our PSA Rugby Academy Tignes programme so delivery is bilingual, via French and English, to ensure the best possible development experience for players of all ages and nationalities.

Our players and staff stay at the high end UCPA Sports Hostel in Tignes, which offers modern, shared accommodation in en suite rooms of four. We always have separate quarters for boys and girls, with players roomed with friends or others of a similar age. If your player has any special requirements or would like to request to share with a friend, we will try to accommodate him or her based on this information being provided as part of or following your booking.

PSA Academies is partnered with Endsleigh Insurance to provide important insurance cover for all players attending the PSA Rugby Academy Tignes. You will receive a full summary of insurance cover after booking, however in advance of this, please note that key benefits include:

• Cover for over 90 sports and activities included as standard (full details are available within policy documentation).
• Cover for cancellation and/or curtailment of the trip due to accident, illness or sickness.
• If a player is taken ill or has an accident, Endsleigh will pay emergency medical bills and hospital costs that are not covered by the National Health Service.
• Additional costs incurred to repatriate, if medically necessary.
• Reasonable costs to return home if a close relative is seriously ill.
• Reimbursement if luggage is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged.
• Endsleigh will help replace passports or visas, if they are lost or stolen.
• Money stolen, either from a player’s person or while locked away, will be replaced.
• If a player accidentally injures someone or damages their property, Endsleigh will cover legal liability.
• Advice and assistance to take legal action is covered.

Our bilingual programme staff are responsible for the pastoral care of all those players in our care and ensure that everyone is sleeping & eating well, engaging with all programme elements, making friends and having a great time. During free time, our players are able to explore the safe Tignes resort in groups, whilst being supervised by our professional staff.

Our PSA Rugby Academy Tignes high performance programme is player-led, with the players themselves (assisted by their mentors) setting the culture for each week by using their Player Journals to set and track their goals, objectives and work ons from their time in Tignes.

Following the completion of the high-performance Academy programme, each player will receive a detailed Player Development Report, containing test results and development comments across four core skills areas (Pass, Breakdown, Rucking & Tackle) plus physical conditioning. The report also looks at the player development holistically and as such, you will receive a written comment from the player’s group staff mentor, summarising their approach to the C.A.R.D.S. aspect of camp life.

Recovery is critical as part of the PSA Rugby Academy Tignes programme and the world class facilities at 2,100m offer some of the best recovery activities available anywhere in Europe, including;
